Fred Clemens

Vice President,

Real Estate

Fred brings almost 25 years of commercial real estate experience to the team.  As an agent in one of Canada’s largest real estate brokerage firms, Fred has completed hundreds of complex lease and sale deals with national, local and regional tenants representing one million square feet of office industrial and retail buildings. Fred brings extensive experience in project management, construction and planning matters having been active in planning applications and construction management on area structure plans, land use applications, and development permits in urban and rural environments for all types of commercial real estate. Fred holds a BES from the University of Waterloo and has served on Boards including the Calgary Parking Authority as chair and other various community and political organizations. Fred lives in Canmore with his wife and daughter enjoying skiing, hiking, paddling and camping. 

Robin Kooyman

Chief Financial Officer

Robin is an accomplished executive with over 15 years of finance experience. Most recently she was Chief Financial Officer at Certarus, a rapidly growing North American distributor of low carbon fuels including CNG, RNG and Hydrogen. Certarus was acquired by Superior Plus for over $1 billion in 2023. Prior to that, Robin served as the Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, with Brookfield Asset Management for their Renewable Power and Transition business and held senior roles with RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities. She received her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria and obtained her MBA at the London Business School. Robin is also a CFA Charterholder and earned a certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute. Robin lives in Calgary with her husband and daughter, and enjoys cycling and skiing in her spare time.  

Ted Ferguson

Vice President,

Partnerships & Market Development

Ted serves as the Vice President of Partnerships and Market Development for Charger Ready Properties, bringing 25 years of experience driving forward low-carbon business strategies. He is also the Chief Sustainability Officer for the group of organizations that includes GLOBE Series, Delphi, CBSR and Leading Change Canada, and works with organizations like CRP in a similar capacity so they have access to more expertise and resources. His sustainability expertise has been built through a wide range of exciting roles with David Suzuki Foundation, GERT – carbon trading pilot, BC Hydro, and Foreign Affairs Canada. At Delphi, he has designed net-zero strategies for some of Canada’s most prominent sector leaders across the economy.  For CRPL, Ted leads the development of business partnerships while also keeping the organization at the forefront of the evolving EV charging market.  Ted is on the board of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility. He lives in Ottawa and spends much of his time on the trails at Mont Ste Marie, QC where he is an active member in Velo MSM/Club MSM ski and bike club.  

Greg Nieberding

Site Development Engineer

Greg brings numerous years of construction management experience to the team. Greg combines the skills learned through working on some of the most challenging infrastructure projects in the country with a research focus on geospatial modelling for EV charging infrastructure. Greg supports the Charger Ready team identify prime locations for EV charging and helps carry out all stages of engineering and development. Greg has a BSc in mechanical engineering (University of Alberta) and is currently pursuing a MSc in engineering management (University of Alberta).

Eric Dubois

Vice President,

Product & Operations

Eric began his career in advertising, creating award-winning experiences for lifestyle and automotive brands. He later became a founding member of Tesla Canada, establishing and scaling vehicle operations to mass market before leading the development of the supercharger network in Eastern Canada. He has also spent time working in the non-profit sector transforming underutilized urban space into community hubs and in the private sector designing and operating amenity rich office offerings. His wealth of experience in sustainable transportation and dedication to creating and operating innovative spaces uniquely position Eric to design and execute premier charging experiences for our users and clients. With a proven track record of driving growth and delivering sustainable results, Eric is committed to building succesful collaborations throughout the CRP ecosystem. 

Robert Stewart

Vice President,

Engineering & Design

Robert brings over fifteen years of experience in the fields of energy storage project development, oil and gas operations and technology development to the team. Robert has a track record of developing innovative technologies, business models and completing detailed opportunity assessments.  As VP Engineering and Design, Robert leads CRPL’s engineering team in conceptualizing, validating and designing our business offering.  Robert holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering (University of Alberta), a BASc in Mechanical Engineering (University of Waterloo) and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA in Alberta. Robert lives in Calgary with his wife and two young children and enjoys being outdoors, snowboarding, and paddling. 

Marlo Raynolds

Chief Executive Officer

Marlo brings twenty-five years of experience in the field of energy and environment in leadership roles across the non-profit, business, and government sectors. Having built and led many teams, Marlo has a proven track record in leadership and management. As CEO, Marlo is focused on leading CRPL’s team to develop and execute on our business model to support the rapid expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.  Marlo holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (University of Alberta), a BSc in Systems Design Engineering (University of Waterloo), and a Masters in Management and Leadership (University of McGill). Marlo lives in a net-zero emissions home in the Canadian Rockies with his wife and two teenage kids. In his spare time Marlo loves biking, snowboarding, hiking, and paddling.
